Rules for care
The City of Naples Urban Forest enhances the lives of both our residents and visitors. The responsibility to maintain and protect it lies with all of us.
There are strict rules governing the care of city trees. You may not trim, prune, cut or alter any city tree without a permit, and only ISA certified arborists may work on city trees.
You may not hang or attach things such as plants, swings, or flags to city trees. Learn more by reading the Tree Protection Ordinance.
If your street has a particularly impressive tree canopy that creates a unique visual character to your street, the city can designate your street as a "Canopy Street."
